Victoria Beckham this week= perfection

So this week Victoria Beckham has truly reclaimed her 'Posh' title and made me fall in love with her all over again. She was the epitome of understated elegance and perfection at New York Fashion week. Gone are the days of the over the top tan- overdone makeup- and over zealous boobs- here she has given us the opportunity to see her new style distilled.

The Louboutins may be high enough to appease even the skankiest of strippers HOWEVER the below the knee dresses they are paired with serve to transform them from trashy to classy. The cut and colour of her pieces are simply divine. They are form fitting without being mistaken for Lycra and then perfectly compliment her long limbs. She also isn't looking overly slim. Albeit she is slim but it doesn't look like a health hazard- which we must all admit is a welcome change. Finally, the hair extensions. BIG FAN. It is the first time I've seen her wear hair extensions without looking cheap. The colour is perfect. The texture is amazing and the styling is spot on. This (pay attention all you Essex girls) is how extensions should look, not overly long, not fake, not cheap.

So a slew of pictures emerged this weekend of the Beckhams enjoying life in LA with the adorable baby Harper (apologies to Suri Cruise who will no longer go down in history as the cutest/ most well dressed little baby in recent Hollywood history). Victoria and David strutted in front of the cameras in a variety of loving and protective poses as baby Harper worked on her camera ready pout. I have to say the photos were genuinely adorable. The Beckhams appear to be an incredibly loving couple and truly devoted parents.... and of course I couldn't end this comment without mentioning how fantastic Victoria looked. She remains miniscule but the few post pregnancy pounds which she has managed to retain are incredibly flattering to say the least.

Sales of To Kill a Mockingbird rise.....

So apparently sales of To Kill a Mockingbird have risen by 123% since Victoria and David Beckham named their daughter Harper.... who would have thought that the Beckhams would be responsible for the resurgence of interest in an American classic novel. 

Does this mean that pigs are flying somewhere?

SHOCK ANNOUNCEMENT! Victoria Beckham can read

Yes halt the presses because apparently this is B - I - G news. Victoria Beckham has not only read an entire book but she has named her new baby girl after the author of her FAVORITE (yes the implication being that she has read more than one) book. The book is none other than 'To Kill A Mockingbird' (there is also an eponymous movie starring Gregory Peck.... not to make any suggestion to the effect that she may have just rented the dvd.... although speaking of Romeo is also named after another famous literary tale which has hailed many a film adaptation....) by Harper Lee and according to the new videos on David Beckham's facebook page (who by the way is looking pretty wrinkle free- I think their might be a bit of botox going on.... of perhaps he just hasn't had to think very hard about anything.... ever, but back to the story) "one reason is Harper's an old English name which we loved and one of the other reasons was Victoria's favorite book is To Kill A Mockingbird and the author is Harper Lee. It is a very strong, passionate book. That's where Harper came from."

So there you have it. They did not get the inspiration from Seinfeld.... which I have to say is disappointing since it would have been a far more interesting story and unique American cultural reference.... as 'To Kill a Mockingbird' is compulsory reading in almost every province and state I would be surprised if anyone was awed with their literary prowess....

So yesterday we finally caught a glimpse of Victoria Beckham's baby bump which she's managed to keep so well hidden over the past few months. David Beckham posted this photo on his facebook and I have to say with her due to give birth this weekend it's a pity that this is likely the only photo we will see. It makes me miss the days during her pregnancy with Brooklyn when she wore her baby bump with pride!
