Chanel Iman: Street Style (in a nutshell: big heels, rocker leather, short skirts and killer attitude)

So I remember first seeing Chanel Iman in a Teen Vogue Cover feature on upcoming models. I think she was with Gemma Ward and one other girl (although I'm not completely sure). What I do remember was that they had her dressed up like quite the prep. Resultantly, every time I've seen her street style pictured I've always compared it to that first time I saw her AND I have to say although it's markedly different I love the way she pulls it off. She's always a bit hard, there's always some leather whether it be in the form of a thigh high boot, a studded Balenciaga bag or a killer heel. AND her skirts are always tiny, showing off those giselle like dancer limbs.

this shot, pretty much Chanel's style in a single frame. Big heels, bigger attitude, SHORT and TIGHT clothes, and TONNES of leather.
ADORE when she rocks the red Chanel particularly if those pumps are Louboutins (and I have a good feeling that they are!). This is one of her looks that I would definitely rock on an afternoon date or for a super casual bar scene.
.... this on the other hand is not a look that I could rock. Sometimes (and don't take this in the wrong way because I do LOVE how she dresses. I feel like she's young, vibrant and current and not just fitting into the general mold of heavy layers!) I feel like she looks a tiiiiiny bit like a stripper....
red chanel √, leather jacket √, floral dress √... this is a look I not only  but would personally rock. I adore the contrast of the floral and the leather BUT especially because she has not done a super girly floral, she's done floral her way and kept it simply with black and white.
As always super cool heels.... but again the verge a bit on stripper territory......
ADORE the giant Balenciaga AND such cool shoes!
I love these crowd shot photographs.
Sooooooo the boots, yes a bit 'ripper for my taste BUT that purse! Yummy, yummy Mulberry!
Every time I see the Gucci boots I just kick myself for not buying the ankle booties from that collection! Moral of the story- sometimes just pulling the trigger isn't a bad call. (Albeit when you shop as much as me it can be a problem... BUT at least it means you live with no regrets annnnnnd a depleted bank account).
Again..... for me the leggings are a questionable choice but the booties (Opening Ceremony) and the purse (Mulberry) BIG √ in my book!
I feel vindicated in my prior opinion as I feel that the outfit is DEFINITELY more questionable from the front! An outfit can have too many rips.... annnnnd this one DEFINITELY does.
Nice to see her out of leather, not going to like I like it. I feel that the dress is still very body conscious (and therefore very Chanel) without being overtly so (i.e. tight, leather, spandex, ripped....)
